California Livin'

We've made the move.  And thus far, we all are absolutely loving it!  It has been two sunshiney, warm, hot, wonderful weeks that we have been in this wonderful farm and orchard riddled landscape.  Each of us still ooohs and aahhs about all of the different foliage and landscapes and homes and scenes.  So much to look at and take in.  I have a little feeling that this is going to be a fantastic place to live!  Already I feel the urge to adapt here and an even greater urge to have my family experience this new land.

It really seems like so long ago that we got the word about my husbands new job, then took an exploratory trip to "the valley" to tie up some loose ends with the job.  Soon the  packers arrived, movers came and we took a wonderful three days to arrive in our new surroundings.  In reality, it was only a very short seven weeks  ago, today in fact, since this move became the remotest possibility!

Hand sewing has been my friend, keeping my mind and my hands buzzing and busy.  And there have been many lazy days wiling the hours away immersed in a good book (L.M. Montgomery at the moment).  Works-in-progress are few and as such are coming along nicely.  A seemingly never-ending binding is finally complete!  Honestly, that was easy work since I was doing this for a quilting friend and she only asked me to do the binding in exchange for a serger that she just happened to have lying around.  Win, win.  And I think it came out quite nice.

I'll be linking up to WIP Wednesday over at Freshly Pieced today.  God bless and keep you during this beautiful, summer-y week!

Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man. ~Hebrews 8:1-2

love, Lisa

I love the Posy hexagons. So cute. So charming. And a fabulous distraction from the chaos of moving.
